KWK's funeral was expected to be well attended, but the number of people that came was wonderfully overwhelming! On behalf of the whole Kirwan family, I wish to express our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for all those who extended their love and support for us. The event has been hailed as a "Royal" send off! We thank God for being able to manage such a crowd - in total estimated as nearly 3000 people (online globally and in person).

Kirt, my Brother from another Mother, had the heart of a lion and the hand grip of the Boston Strangler 👊🏾 💪🏿 ❤️ Kirt never quit. He never gave up. Given what he lived through, this is saying something about my Bro! To me, there are lots of us passing through but not many will be remembered and favoured like Kirt and we can all testify to that! Smiling even when the going was tough; Smiling and just being Kirt; Helping so many, keeping calm all day long. Kirt was an OG, an old soul, and wise in the ways of life and the streets and looking out for everybody. Man, Woman, family and child The role Kirt played in my life is as big as it gets. From Sesame Street, Leyton Youth or University of Life - Kirt took me and many others under his wing and became my big brother in all the ways a brother should be.
