KWK's funeral was expected to be well attended, but the number of people that came was wonderfully overwhelming! On behalf of the whole Kirwan family, I wish to express our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for all those who extended their love and support for us. The event has been hailed as a "Royal" send off! We thank God for being able to manage such a crowd - in total estimated as nearly 3000 people (online globally and in person).

Kirt, my Brother from another Mother, had the heart of a lion and the hand grip of the Boston Strangler 👊🏾 💪🏿 ❤️ Kirt never quit. He never gave up. Given what he lived through, this is saying something about my Bro! To me, there are lots of us passing through but not many will be remembered and favoured like Kirt and we can all testify to that! Smiling even when the going was tough; Smiling and just being Kirt; Helping so many, keeping calm all day long. Kirt was an OG, an old soul, and wise in the ways of life and the streets and looking out for everybody. Man, Woman, family and child The role Kirt played in my life is as big as it gets. From Sesame Street, Leyton Youth or University of Life - Kirt took me and many others under his wing and became my big brother in all the ways a brother should be. Love and respect always and missing you down here Bro KK

Just have such great memories of fun with Kirt at 62 Melbourne Road. Cuz! Kirt became such a great man. Respectful, caring and supportive. I remember Kirt leading the filling in of the grave at both Uncle Archie and Auntie Jo's funerals-he was a natural leader. I remember Kirts smile and laugh and he was ‘always there' showing kindness and helping everyone in need. We will forever remember our darling Kirt. Rest in eternal peace cuz xxx

Uncle Kirt/ Uncle Kurtis was my Godfather and i loved him dearly. His smile with those dimples always made me feel safe and happy. I didn't see him often, but his presence has left an indelible mark on my life. I will strive to be as loving, giving, and caring as he was in everything i do. Rest now Uncle, you did good.

Kirt was kind, gentle and someone we could talk to. Growing up, Kirt would always look out for us as we were friends' with Iris. That care and concern for us never left Kirt as we grew up. Kirt will never be forgotten, always in our hearts. May God strengthen the family at this very sad time.
